Next week submit draft report for PSM...then another week for presentation, preparing for slide and lot of correction need improve in the report.

27 august 2009, 11am, meeting with supervisor. Submitted chapter 3, chapter 2 still in progress and editing. Picture for current restaurant had research need put in chapter 2 and the technique and hardware use in implementation need picture also...chapter 3 need add a grant chart.

need do observation on the Salamanca Restaurant for the timing the order will be take and the food will be serve to customer so that can be use in system implement about the editing phase. also, need collect the food menu and price to be use in chapter 4.

In chapter 4, use case, sequence diagram and interface design need to be done.

Pizza Hut.....a complex and efficient food ordering system.... a regret cannot do interview on the system....so.. I'm choose one of our malaysia famous cafe, Old town cafe as one of my research subject. Famous Old town cafe come from Ipoh and having hundred of branch all over malaysia. They using a ordering system call i-comit.
1. They let their customer tick in the ordering at a prepared menu paper on table.
2. Then, they collect it and input the order at a touch screen machine which installed i-comit system.
3. The system will automatically sort the order according type for example drinks, toast, hot meat like nasi lemak, mee soup, laksa....
4. The order after sort will transfer to kitchen and print out a resit at cashier counter.
5. At kitchen, the order of drinks will print out in piece of paper to read by the drink maker, the order of hot meal will print out at chef department for them to prepare, toast order will print out at toast department.
6. The drinks will be prepare about 1-3 min to be serve.
7. The food will be serve in 10 min depend the number of meal ordered.
8. Customer can pay the bill at cashier and two receipt will be print out, one for customer, one for restaurant record.

McDonalds....leader of fast food restaurant.... ^^

McDonald restaurant using more systematic and advanced in their food ordering system to competitive with other fast food restaurant...They have a system that design and develop by Fujitsu company. The McD system are consist of system named as Make For You(MFY), KVS(kitchen virtual system) and MDS(Mc Delivery System). It can be useful in develop my ordering system because it is almost similar to my concept...^^
